Now that I’m a candidate for Town Council, there’s no skipping town events. So I came right from work to the Blue Hill Lodge’s yearly party, held on the construction site of the new brewery going up behind the current site. When I bought my house in Claryville all we had was the Claryville Country Store, a very nice place but not much more than a one-room general store with some deli sandwiches. The Blue Hill Lodge offered high-speed internet, and for most of the past five years it’s been my link with the rest of the world, and the place where all this blog’s content was either written or posted.
The party was great – well-attended and featuring a very happy crowd. I got to schmooze to my heart’s content and had a grand old time of it. Towards the end I saw some people dancing and from then on I gave all my love to the music – the band was great. This kind of politics we can all handle.
