http://iowacomicbookclub.com/admin.php Folding my clothes in an empty laundromat on a beautiful day in the sad town of Liberty, NY, I was treated to the pleasant television viewing experience of “Hollywood’s Greatest Tragedies.” I caught the tail-end of the deaths of Christopher Reeve and his wife; then what was called the Greatest Hollywood Tragedy of All Time, Heath Ledger’s death, apparently brought on by six prescription drugs and some kind of over-the-counter antihistamine. Then there was a show about about teenagers ruining their lives with help from doctors in the form of prescription drugs. How glad I am not to see much television. Fifteen minutes alone with a television in a laundromat and I left with the distinct impression that the world is mad and all its cures for its madness even madder.
