The Domus

This is a picture of where I live, in Claryville, New York, in the Catskill mountains.  It’s a 14×24, one-room cabin.  There’s no running water, and electricity is intermittently provided by a generator.  It’s been exactly how I wanted it to be.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”
